Has AI Reduced Manual Work?

Just like the historical agents of the Industrial Revolution, Artificial Intelligence certainly has
reduced manual work.

Take the example of a delivery robot. Let’s call him Tom. Tom delivers products from point A
to point B day in and day out. It can detect obstacles, identify the right address, and deliver
products safely – it is not a simple product of automation. He doesn’t need to be ‘operated.’
The aspect of decision-making is ingrained in its ‘training data.’

So yes, AI has certainly reduced manual work in more intensive ways than what was seen in
the previous Industrial Revolution. In the case of AI, even decision-making is automated.

In this respect, the advent of modern AI can certainly be termed as an Industrial Revolution.
